So this past weekend has proved frustrating once again, and its now made me realise i HAVE to go elsewhere, just to get a bend in my rods. Next weekend Ive made the hard decison to fish for just the day on Saturday. The lake in question is about 2 acres in size and full of hard fighting mirrors and commons...there is a 2 rod limit and to be honest its not a water id ever fancy doing a night on...you would be up all blimin night!

Happy Anniversary to me! 6th August
Well folks, its not officially 3 years since i landed a fish, and although most people think im insane, i will still keep plodding on...the word on the street/lake is that 9 fish in total have been out. The biggest being 33Ib - a Linear of the type dreams are made of...a stunning wood carving of a fish, dark brown, and just one of those that take your breath away...
Ok, back to reality. I have Pubchucker Junior with me who as i type is fishing a single rod for the Tench, and ocassional in between laziness/teenager sleeping flicking out a Pike rod..
Last night was quiet, and no fish were seen. As far as i know nothing was caught either..
More updates to follow....whether i will complete a new Pubchucker Youtube is debatable...at the end of the day whats the point in showing you the lake, and no fish!
1,095 days since last Carp
Ok so this Friday will represent a massive landmark in the life of the Pubchucker. It was three years ago this coming Saturday that I landed my last fish, a 28Ib Mirror. Its been a long hard road, through Pike, Tench and Bream that we now arrive at this most horrendous of anniversaries.
People say im crazy for persisting past the threshold of the average Carp Angler's patience so why am i doing it and what the heck spurs me on?
The thought of a pure English lump, untouched, and unpressurised, in immaculate condition laying on my unhooking mat, for me to hold, cherish, photograph and then return. Its the ultimate challenge and one im not giving in just yet. Sure, ive been labelled, but it doesnt bother me in the slightest. Right now its all about spending as much time on the bank and not giving up.
Its been a hard few years but i wouldnt of changed it for the world...ok ok, maybe id of preferred to of landed a huge number of 30s, but its not the way its meant to be.
The life of a Pubchucker continues...
After a week of humidity, and temperatures reach 30degs we have today had heavy rain and the air has cleared leaving much lower, and more comfortable temperatures. Have those fish finally spawned? Who knows...i will be joined on the bank by Pubchucker junior so do check out my website for regular updates, and of course the Pubchucker Youtube channel for the latest Carpy vid.
