So now what? - Written by Geoff Rauf

The waiting game begins....Dam these mozzies are lethal at the moment!

Fish surfaced twice close in so rod one has gone 30 yrds out with about 6 spod loads of particle. Its 9 ft here just on the bottom of the drop off.

Rod Two is at about 60 yrds in 11ft of water. Clear bottom and away from the legion of Coots! We are official testing the new Pubchucker pop ups!

Rod Three is cast 140 yrds past a underwater used to put the bird islands in. Here we are using a Chod rig with the new pop ups which by the way smell fantatsic.

Wish me luck…its muggy and ive already got the Mozzie coil going.

Ok so it's now the 7th night with nothing as a result. What i do know is that 2 fish were landed from this swim during the week, a 13Ib and a 23Iber. The weather has been cloudy but very mild and the wind as expect has been pushing my way. So far this morning ive recast all rods just trying different spots for an hour here and there. Nothing is really showing and yesterdays Pike on the surface hasnt been seen thank god. Ive had morte Colemans issues with the dam thing unwilling to fire up - luckily Jason popped down with his one to borrow so at least i can have a cuppa or 3.

8th Night and the Same Old Story

Well it looks like this year will be the same as the others. Ok, we have only done a handful of nights but right now with only 5 fish being landed since the start of the season things look incredibly bleak. Conditions couldnt of been better and yet still hardly anything was showing, and certainly nothing with scales was feeding!

This week looks to be a warm one with temperatures down south staying firmly into the 20s. This is good in that maybe these fish will now go on to spawn? Its something i really think isnt helping the situation.
